Fractions
I can solve fraction problems when the numerator is 1 e.g 1/3 of 30 =
I can solve fraction problems when the numerator is larger than 1 e.g 3/5 of 25 =
I can solve a problem like this - 2/3 of the cake has 14 smarties. How many are on the whole cake?
I can order and add fractions when the have the same denominator e.g 4/5, 3/5, 2/5 etc
I can order and add fractions when the denominator is different e.g 2/3, 5/6, 7/8 etc
I can change fractions to simple decimals e.g. 25/100 = .25.
I can change improper fractions into mixed numeral fractions and vice versa. e.g. 29/4 = 7 and 1/4

Term 3 Week 3 This week we are continuing to look at fractions and decimals. It is important we all understand mixed numeral fractions and improper fractions are and how to work out fraction amounts of a number. I will put some games on Smart Kiddies.
Term 3 Week 1and 2 This term we are looking at fractions and decimals. Here are some links to fraction games. Game aquarium Also we are looking at the meaning of these words = multiple, factor and prime.
Multiple
When two numbers are multiplied together, the result is called a multiple 6 is a multiple of 2 and 3 9 is a multiple of 3 only 10 is a multiple of 5 and... Can you say what the other number is?
Factor
The numbers that make a multiple are called factors 2 and 3 are factors of 6 3 is also a factor of 9 10 has two factors Can you say what they are?

Prime numbers are those numbers (greater than 1) that cannot be divided by any number except themselves and one.

Make sure you have played at least 3 or 4 games on the first 3 sites and then play the other games at least once.
